Two spiral gears work in tandem, combining natural geometry with mechanical movement.

The installation takes the recognisable structure of the nautilus shell and reinterprets it through engineered forms. The spiral becomes a working mechanism, with two complementary gears positioned to create a continuous relationship between movement, repetition and balance.

 

Rather than reproducing the shell literally, the design abstracts its geometry. The radial teeth, curved internal structures and concentric centre create a visual language that sits between natural form and industrial machinery.

The result is a sculptural object that can be experienced both as a geometric artwork and as a functioning kinetic system.
