A transit stair that plays music with every footstep, turning a routine climb inside a metro station into the most talked-about few seconds of a commuter's day.
What if the stairs played you back?
Kochi Metro Rail Ltd. had a simple problem: escalators crowded during peak hours while the stairs beside them sat unused.
Adstronaut turned the staircase into a working piano. Each step became a key, with every footfall triggering a note. Commuters weren't asked to exercise or reduce congestion—they simply had a more engaging reason to take the stairs.
The concept transformed an everyday piece of station infrastructure into an interactive experience, using technology and sound to make a simple change in commuter behaviour feel natural, engaging, and memorable.

What if Ramadan came alive around you?
At LuLu Mall Kochi, the brief was to create a seasonal experience that could capture attention and bring people together without interrupting the natural flow of the space. Positioned beside the staircase leading to the food court, the installation turned a high-footfall passage into a visual focal point.
Designed around intricate Islamic patterns in green and yellow, the installation created an immediate sense of occasion, drawing the eye of passing shoppers and giving the Ramadan season a distinctive presence within the mall.
The objective went beyond decoration. By transforming an everyday transition point into an engaging visual experience, the installation encouraged people to pause, look, interact, and share the moment adding a layer of discovery and celebration to the everyday mall experience.
